These are a few apps I have stumbled across that might come in handy for your shoot!
Wrap Time Lite is an application designed for film industry crew members to keep track of your hours, pay, meal penalties and job information right from your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can even email your in and out times to yourself or to production.
FilmCalc
The Filmcalculator is a program for Film professionals. Usefull for DOP’s, focuspullers, clapperloaders, VFX supervisors, still photographers but also location managers, art directors etc.
It is a great tool to be used during prep, shoot and post-production. It's made by crew members and has a 15 year history of being used on PDA's. There are over 32 calculations and info screens possible for three different disciplines:
FilmSlate was developed by professionals, for professionals, and is designed to be used on set as an insert slate, a run-and-gun slate, or a portable backlit slate in your pocket.
It is the world's first mobile storyboarding application which allows you to acquire photos with your phone or by Artemis Directors Finder for iPhone, then add traditional storyboarding markups such as dolly, track, zoom and pan. You can even add your own stand-ins. The user can set a duration for each storyboard panel and then play it back to get real time feedback on pacing and framing.
Not a cool widget but well worth seeing. "Destino" is a incredible collaboration between Roy Disney & Salvador Dali. I saw the full work @ the LACMA and it is worth the trip.
